TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK DAY TRIP

Overview:

Tarangire is an exceptional national park in Tanzania's northern circuit that is often overlooked by visitors. This is regrettable because the park's vast elephant population, remarkable Baobab trees, and various wildlife make it an ideal spot to capture stunning photographs or simply appreciate the grandeur of the world's largest land animals.

During the dry season, game drives in Tarangire are particularly exciting as the animals congregate around Tarangire River. This provides an excellent chance to observe numerous animals in one location and witness the predator-prey dynamics in action.

Start at 8:00 am
This day trip from Arusha takes you to the Tarangire National Park, known for its high density of elephants and diverse wildlife. During the dry season, between July and October, many animals come to Tarangire River for drinking, making it a prime location for observing lions, giraffes, buffaloes, wildebeests, zebras, antelopes, gazelles, and over 550 different bird species. Your day will start with pick up at your hotel and a 2-3 hour drive to the park. A professional guide will accompany you throughout the trip, which includes lunch at a picnic spot and all national park fees. You will be transported in a 4x4 safari vehicle with an open roof for unspoiled views during game drives. The trip is private and customizable for your group. Some additional cash is recommended for drinks, souvenirs, and tips. While Tanzania does not require specific vaccinations, getting a yellow fever vaccination is suggested due to the region's location. Malaria precautions are also recommended. This day trip offers a unique opportunity to experience Tanzania's wildlife and natural wonders while being accompanied by experienced professionals
