DAY TRIP TO MIKUMI NATIONAL PARK FROM ZANZIBAR
Overview
Take a break from the beaches of Zanzibar and spend a day exploring the wildlife of MikumiNational Park. The park is home to a wide variety of animals including buffalo, elephants, lions, wildebeest, Maasai giraffes, hippos, impalas, crocodiles, zebras, and warthogs. One of the advantages of visiting Mikumi is that wildlife viewing is good throughout the year, as the park is less affected by seasonal changes.
Daily flights operate between Zanzibar and Mikumi, departing at 08:00 AM and arriving around 10:00 AM. This makes it a convenient option for travelers who want to experience a safari but have limited time. Compared to traveling via Dar es Salaam, which involves a long drive of about six hours plus a boat transfer from Zanzibar, flying directly to Mikumi is much simpler and saves valuable time.
This day safari offers approximately five hours of game driving inside the park, including a picnic lunch in the bush. Your return flight departs at 4:00 PM and arrives back in Zanzibar around 5:30 PM.
