Day 1: Zanzibar – Mikumi National Park (Boat + Road Transfer)

Morning departure from Zanzibar by boat to Dar es Salaam, followed by a scenic drive to Mikumi National Park.

Arrive in the afternoon and head straight for your first game drive. Mikumi is known for its open savannah and reliable wildlife sightings including elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, and lions.

Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 2: Full Day Game Drive – Mikumi National Park

After breakfast, enjoy a full-day game drive with packed lunch.

Explore the Mkata Floodplain, often compared to the Serengeti, where wildlife is easily spotted across wide open landscapes. Expect encounters with large herds of herbivores and predators.

Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Mikumi – Udzungwa Mountains (Waterfalls & Hiking)

After breakfast, transfer to Udzungwa Mountains National Park.

Enjoy a guided walking safari through lush tropical forest leading to the famous SanjeWaterfalls. This park is unique as it focuses on hiking rather than game drives, with rich biodiversity including endemic primates and over 400 bird species.

Optional: swim at the waterfall pools.

Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 4: – Dar es Salaam (Train + Boat to Zanzibar)

Early morning transfer to Morogoro for your train departure.

Upon arrival, transfer to the ferry terminal and catch a boat back to Zanzibar.

End of safari.
