Tour Description
Day 1: Zanzibar – Dar es Salaam – Mikumi National Park
Your journey begins early morning with a boat transfer from Zanzibar to Dar es Salaam. Upon arrival, meet your driver-guide and depart by road to Mikumi National Park (approximately 5–6 hours).
Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge or camp, followed by an afternoon game drive in the park. Explore the open plains, often compared to the Serengeti, and spot a variety of wildlife.
Dinner and overnight at your selected accommodation.
Day 2: Full Day Game Drive in Mikumi National Park
After breakfast, enjoy a full day game drive in Mikumi National Park with picnic lunch inside the park.
You will explore different areas of the park, including the Mkata Floodplain, known for its high concentration of wildlife. Expect to see elephants, buffaloes, wildebeests, antelopes, and predators such as lions.
Return to your lodge in the late afternoon for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.
Day 3: Mikumi – Morogoro – Dar es Salaam – Zanzibar
Early breakfast, then depart for Morogoro for your train journey.
Board the train departing at 09:40 AM, arriving in Dar es Salaam at 11:40 AM. Upon arrival, transfer to the ferry terminal to catch your 12:30 PM boat back to Zanzibar.
End of safari.
